SIMON WALKER TAKES THE BOLLINGER CROWN

02-09-2004

Robert Stephens added his name to the winners list of this year’s series at York, when staying on well with BRAMANTINO for Richard Fahey, winning by half a length from Miles Seston on CALATAGAN.

With Simon Walker already on 44 points which includes 2 wins, the title is now his for the taking and his achievement of winning the title for a second year running is unique. In the 13 years that Bollinger have so generously been sponsoring this series, past champions have included Ryan Moore, Richard Johnson and Tom Scudamore.

Apart from Simon Walker’s 2 wins this season, other winners so far are: Michael Murphy, Declan Queally, Justin Morgan, James Best, Curtis Davies, Les Jefford, Robert Stephens and Miles Seston.

The final will take place at Ascot on 24th September. Many congratulations to all our winners, and especially to our new Champion.
