Girls – a date for your diary!  Monday 1st August sees a world first in the first ever all lady jockeys night hosted by Carlisle Racecourse with a charity race the first race of the evening in aid of charities Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign:

RACE CONDITIONS

The Stewards of the Jockey Club have granted exemptions from the effects of Rule A38 for this race as it is run outside the Rules of Racing.  Therefore it will not count for any purposes on the horse’s career record.

For four year olds and upwards who have run at least twice under the recognised Rules of Racing

Distance – 6 furlongs to be started by flag

Weight .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 11 stone

All horses to be rated 0-120 for hurdlers/steeplechasers, 

0-80 for flat horses or horses that have run twice in a NH flat race
